Cadence is a marketplace. We rely on good-faith use. The behaviors below result in warnings, suspension, or termination, depending on severity.
You may not
- Use Cadence to develop, deploy, or operate weapons, surveillance, or systems designed to harm people.
- Use Cadence for fraudulent purposes (Ponzi schemes, fake-product offerings, phishing kits, etc.).
- Build or support CSAM, NCII, or any content sexualizing minors.
- Run mass disinformation, election interference, or astroturfing operations.
- Discriminate against engineers / founders based on protected categories (race, gender, religion, etc.).
- Off-platform poach (founders hiring engineers directly within 12 months of a Cadence engagement, or vice versa).
- Falsify identity, ratings, referrals, or payment information.
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or copy substantial portions of the platform's UI, content, or matching logic.
You should
- Communicate respectfully with the other party. We log messages; harassment results in immediate suspension.
- Rate honestly. Inflated or vindictive ratings hurt other users and the algorithm.
- Pay invoices on time. Failed-payment retries continue for 7 days; after that the engagement is paused until resolved.
- Report bugs, security issues, or suspicious behavior to trust@cadence.work.
Enforcement
Minor violations: a written warning. Repeat or material violations: suspension up to 30 days. Severe (fraud, harassment, illegal content): permanent termination + we cooperate fully with law enforcement.
