Export my data

You can export everything we hold about you, in machine-readable form, at any time. Free, no questions asked, in line with GDPR data portability and similar rights elsewhere.

How to request an export

  1. Sign in.
  2. Open Settings → Privacy.
  3. Click Request data export.
  4. We email a download link within 24 hours, valid for 7 days.

What is in the export

A single ZIP file with the following:

  • profile.json · account fields, profile, preferences.
  • matches.json · match history (founder side: which engineers were assigned; engineer side: which founders).
  • engagements.json · all engagements with start, end, rate, status.
  • invoices.json · every invoice with line items.
  • payouts.json · engineer side: weekly payout history. Partner side: commission ledger.
  • messages.json · platform messages with timestamps.
  • ratings.json · ratings you gave or received (anonymized for the giver if you are the engineer).
  • voice-interview/ · engineers only, the original recording and transcript.
  • README.txt · field-level documentation for everything above.

Format and tools

  • JSON for structured data, UTF-8.
  • PDFs for invoices and tax forms.
  • WebM for voice interview recordings.
  • The README points to the schema version in case our fields change later.

Privacy of others

We redact information that belongs to other people in your data:

  • Engineer-side: founder names appear, but private internal notes about the founder do not.
  • Founder-side: engineer names appear, but the engineer's payout amounts and tax info do not.
  • Messaging: the contents of messages you sent or received are included, attachments authored by the other party are listed but not included.

How often you can export

Once every 7 days. If you need a more frequent export for compliance reasons, email trust@cadence.work.

Exports if you have already deleted

After an account purge runs (see delete my account), the export endpoint is unavailable. Request the export before you confirm deletion.
